What if you have a different insurance company than what’s on
our list?
Please call your insurance company before your first visit to determine
your coverage. You must obtain all necessary referrals and/or prescriptions
before beginning Physical Therapy. If you do not understand your benefit,
we can often assist in deciphering what your insurance company will pay.
If your insurance company does not cover Physical Therapy and you would
still like to be seen, we have self-pay options available.
Managed Care Insurances:
Your insurance may require a referral from your Primary Care Physician
(PCP) to be eligible for physical therapy. Please contact your primary
care doctor for a referral authorization before your first visit with
us. If you do not have authorization prior to your appointment, you may
be asked to sign a waiver accepting responsibility for payment should
authorization be denied. New Hampshire is a “direct access” state.
That means you can come to Balance Physical Therapy directly without
seeing a doctor and still receive Physical Therapy treatment. So if you
experience an injury and cannot be seen by your doctor right away, you
can still come in for evaluation and treatment to relieve your pain.
Understanding your insurance coverage:
We will do our best to help you understand your benefits.
If you have any questions about your health insurance that your insurance
company has not adequately answered in regards to coverage for Physical
Therapy services, please call us at (603) 890-8844.
