Lindsey Dawn Bokuniewicz, DPT

Lindsey Bokuniewicz has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is a Fitness Instructor.

She teaches BodyCombat and BodyPump fitness classes in Salem, NH, and loves to run, ski, or do anything active in her free time.

Lindsey gains tremendous satisfaction from helping her patients gain greater independence and mobility. She finds it very rewarding when patients return with a brighter smile and returned excitement as their pain decreases and function increases. Lindsey loves passing on her knowledge for movement quality to maximize functional and recreational activities in peoples’ daily lives.

At Balance Physical Therapy Lindsey works with patients who have orthopedic, neurological and developmental impairments. She also works with athletes, educating them on proper mechanics for safe workouts that provide the greatest benefit.

Lindsey received a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at Simmons College in August, 2009. Three years earlier she completed a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences and Biology from Simmons College.

In the course of her training Lindsey has gained a wide range of clinical experiences. While at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston she worked with patients with complex diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, integumentary, and vascular impairments, as well as cancer. She also worked with patients in the intensive care units.

At Spaulding Rehabilitation Pediatrics in Boston she evaluated, planned, and delivered individualized treatment for pediatric inpatients primarily with neurological impairments. While at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center she evaluated patients for aquatic therapy and initiated individualized aquatic physical therapy programs. She also worked with patients with neurological impairments, including Sensory Integration Disorder, as well as patients with orthopedic impairments.

Lindsey has additional clinical experience from her time spent at the following hospitals: Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital, Braintree Rehabilitation, Beverly Hospital, New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Life Care Center, Professional Center for Child Development, and Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Lindsey joined Balance Physical Therapy in November of 2009.
